Our Core Beliefs:
A Gospel Vision for the Local Church:
The Gospel: The gospel is the good news that Jesus Christ, who lived and obeyed God perfectly, died for our sins, was buried, and on the third day rose again. Every thing we teach and do flows out of this truth. This isn't one message among many but the message by which everything else makes sense. This is the hope we offer to people as we make disciples who love the city and embrace the world.
The Church: The church is not a building or an organization. The church is an assembly of people called to follow Jesus and to make his name famous in the world. We value the church because through the uniqueness of the people, the gospel becomes visible to our city and the world.
The Campus, City, and World: The Gospel changes lives and is the basis of ministry for the church. Each local church exists in a location that is unique to their context and Expedition is no different. We have a state university, a historic city, and access to the global migrations of people groups. We want to be faithful to share and live out the gospel so that our campus, city, and world are impacted by the good news of Jesus Christ.
